You Are Angelic Spirit: Dear friends, you call us Angels, but you do not speak of yourselves this way. Why not? Do you not understand that the only difference between us is of your own creation? You are not existing only within your physical body, and so you cannot use that as a reason for our difference. Your physical body is only a tool that you have created for your lessons at this time. It is helping you learn, but it is not your essence. Your essence is of the same substance as ours. You have the same opportunity to be angelic in your behavior that we do if you allow yourselves to see from a higher vantage point, if you are willing to climb the stairs to the same observation point that we use. It is your decision. You are angelic, if by that you mean spiritual. Your nature was created that way, just as ours was. If you have clothed that nature in less than garments of Light and Love, then you have the opportunity to simply change those clothes. You say you sometimes feel bound in chains, but do you not realize that the key to unlock the chains is in your own breast pocket, the one right over your heart? Make the decision to be free, light-hearted, gay, and comical. Make the decision to look for the funny side, and to look for the opportunity to be someone's angel, and be sure you include yourself on that list, too! Make the decision to look at the things that pain you from a higher vantage point, to see them in their proper perspective. Make the decision to give, and to honor the gifts of others by accepting them in loving trust. Decide to relax, to float easily on the soothing waves of love, to let Love take you where it will, to stop furiously paddling yourselves upstream against the flow, to silence your fears and instead give voice to your heart and your instinct. Decide to unchain the child you keep captive within you, and let laughter and joy overflow from your heart like a constant fountain of Light so that others will know they can come to you when they need refilling. Help them laugh, and when they forget how, teach them by example. Do not be afraid to be the clown for Love's sake, for perhaps it is then that you are truly revealing your angelic selves the most! You, too, are Angelic. But sometimes you hide beneath cloaks of fear. Why? Let us reintroduce you to your true selves, dear friends. Recognize and take responsibility for your true nature. And then get busy! For there are frowns to erase and hearts to gladden! There are hands to hold and tears to dry! There are hurts to heal, and burdens to lift. And there are oh, so many shadows of smiles just waiting to be coaxed by Love into contagious giggles of Joy! |
