Feeling Frightened By Unseen and Unenlightened Entities

Spirit: If you feel an unseen presence, and you think that someone discarnate is around you, and if it is something that frightens you, it is not your Guides. We do not do that. Most of the time it is your own mind that is alarming you. You need only to speak. Call us and say, "You know, I'm really afraid of this," and we will do everything that we can to let you feel our loving presence in a way that does not startle you. We will try to let you know that you are not alone, and we will try to put extra Light around you so that you will be able to calm down. If there are any beings present who are not Guides from the Light, we will assist them in leaving your presence.

Spirit: When you become a channel for us, you voluntarily create a space for us to come in. You should not open like that unless your vibrations are at the highest level that you can attain. This is something in which we can assist you. Of course, you have the power to contradict our work. You have the power to say, "No, I want to allow this dark spirit into my essence. I want to have this experience. I want to talk with these unenlightened souls who are saying funny or sensual-sounding remarks." You can bind our hands by making those kinds of choices. But when you say to us that you want our protection, you have it. We don't trick you. We don't play games. We are faithful. Until you tell us or show us that you no longer want it, you have our protection.

Unenlightened souls are dark, heavy spirits. They can seem powerful. They are not more powerful than we are, though. And they are not more powerful than you are unless you give away your power. When people say that someone is possessing them and controlling them, it is because they have given the possessor the power to do so.

Now, you must understand something. I think we have touched on this before. Whenever you open to us and communicate with us, you are more visible to all. It is as if you are turning on bright lights, and these lights shine as a beacon. So you cannot hide. You cannot communicate secretly so that nobody knows, so that all the "bad guys," as you might call them, don't know you're communicating. It doesn't work that way. It is impossible. This is why most of the time when you communicate with us all of your Guides attend the gathering. So yes, you are visible, but so what? You are not in danger unless you allow it.

You can allow it without intending to, though, so pay attention. You can allow it through omission of necessary protection, or omission of understanding. If you do not understand what you are doing, you should not be doing it! If you do not truly take it seriously, you are giving away some of your power. The unenlightened spirits take it seriously. They take seriously the opportunity to commune with you, and to confuse or frighten you.

These spirits are not really all that concerned with you. They are after the energy they can drain from you. After they get the attention of channels, they may delight in confusing them, or giving them accurate negative predictions, upsetting them, frightening them. From the fear comes the power of negative energy. Anger is a negative energy. All these negative energies give them strength. As you strengthen your positive energy, your vibrations rise, and your Light is too strong for them to be able to tolerate your presence. You are completely missing each other when you do this. You are vibrating at a higher level than they are. Negative energy lowers your vibration, and they can interact with you, and then they can use your energy. You can think of them as energy vampires, in a way. They want to tap into your energy and sap your strength

The danger comes not from their existence. Because they do exist. They exist as surely as we exist. They exist on the physical plane. No one should be surprised or unduly frightened that unenlightened spirits exist. These are souls who, when they are in physical form, wish to cause harm, who wish only power for themselves, who don't understand the meaning of life, who have little Light. All of these beings exist on the physical plane. All that happens for them to become unenlightened spirits is that they leave the physical body and do not return Home, and do not change their focus. These are the souls who don't change their opinions at all. They leave their dead bodies. That's all. As they lived in their bodies, so they continue to live without the body. So it should not come as a surprise to anyone who is aware of the difficulties that exist in life that these beings have problems in the non-physical world.

Souls who do not move Home can wander. Now, you also have a choice. When you leave your body, if you do not want to go with those commissioned to bring you Home, if you do not want to go through the Light, you are free to wander wherever you choose to wander. It's not as easy for you, but you can do a few of the things that we can do. You can think of a place and be there. It isn't joy-filled, because you aren't where Joy is. You aren’t living in the Light.

The physical world is beautiful, but it is a heavier vibration because of its purpose, because of the lessons that must be learned there. You can operate in it much better with a physical body than without one because the physical body was created for the physical plane. For a spirit to be free of the physical body and yet feeling these heavier vibrations is a type of pain. It's not a physical pain like cutting your arm; it's a type of pain as an aching, an agony. You see, our nature is to be free. Our nature is to be able to move on a thought.

These beings can move about, but it's harder. It takes more effort. They're more confused; it's harder to focus; it is not pleasant for them. They're thinking as physical. Do you remember when you came out of body and we coaxed you to walk through your dining room wall? You were confused at first. That’s because you were thinking as if you were still in your a physical body. So you sought an opening in the wall, a window or door – some sort of opening. That's a small example, but that kind of thinking goes with being physical.

It isn't something that we who do not have these struggles delight in and say, "Look at those fools." It is very, very sad. We are not pleased when we encounter this, because our nature is to share Love. This is why we have chosen the work we have chosen, and why we wish to bring you understanding. So of course if we wish to help you understand, would we not also have the same desire for those earthbound souls who do not understand?

There are Spirit Guides who choose to work specifically trying to bring these souls Home through the Light. We have workers who venture into this area and desire to help these beings. Some of them have at one time been in this wandering unenlightened state and so now they understand what these souls suffer. Just as you have workers on Earth who try to bring about a cessation of addiction to alcohol or other drugs who have overcome this addiction themselves. They understand the darkness of where they were, and they feel and experience now the Light of where they are, and they wish to reach out to others and bring them from the darkness into the Light.
