FREE SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE This site was created in the hopes of spreading the awareness and knowledge taught to us from our Spiritual Teachers and the messages we carry with us through this life and into the next. The site is an ongoing reference point for all interested learners. The Spirit Guides' lessons shared here were taught during more than twenty years of friendship with and communication through Patricia Walton, a highly respected spiritual medium and channel. Though several spirit master teacher guides were channeled, for the sake of simplicity we will call them "Spirit" |

Calmness in Center of Life’s Storms Spirit: I speak today about finding peace in the center of a madly rushing whirlpool. I show a picture of a whirlpool and again of someone standing on an island in the center of traffic in Manhattan, but with all of the traffic racing by as if you had put a movie projector on an extremely fast speed. There is going to be a rushing world about you. There is going to be very often in the work world and in the physical plane and very often with your own thoughts on the conscious level, there is going to be sometimes a sense of urgency, a sense of rushing, an extreme awareness of time on the physical plane. In order to successfully live in this situation, you must effectively find the eye of the hurricane. You must effectively find the safe haven in the midst of all the traffic, the island where you can stand and be not caught up in all the dangerous traffic rushing around you. You may be very aware of this busyness, because sometimes you need to be. If you are going to have to cross those lanes of traffic, for instance, you are going to have to be aware of them and know exactly what they are doing, what their speed is and why it is, and when they are going to stop, so you will have a safe chance to cross. The same for the hurricane: You are going to need to be aware of the power of the hurricane and of the force and the direction in which it is traveling and of its ability to affect your life situation. But being aware of situations does not mean that you then must become part of the mad rush that is about you. It is not to your benefit, nor is it to the benefit of those whom you are in a position to affect, either in your workplace or in your personal life, or even in the same line you are in in the grocery store going through the checkstand. It is not to the benefit of those around you for you not to be able to center and calm yourself. For your own everyday life and for your spiritual growth, it is important that you search through meditation and through your own conscious evaluations for that center of peace, that quiet center that you can retreat to, your inner space. Whatever methodology you wish to use to traverse yourself safely to these havens, you must do. This must be a constant search for you, because the whirlpools and rushes about you change. Their nature changes, and sometimes just when you think you have found a safe area, you must move it just a little bit here or there, or perhaps approach it from a different place or at a different time or perhaps stay there on your safe island a little longer because the timing of the traffic lights has changed and if you step off the curb when you did before, you are now going to be splattered. So you need to be constantly aware, and yet constantly retreating from these hectic places where instead of thought there is a panic mode. In a panic mode, you cannot find yourself, and of course, if you cannot find yourself, you cannot find God. You cannot be of any help to anyone else. The panic mode is built into your physical being strictly for physical protection, and you should use it only when it is used instinctively and impulsively, without thought. Those are the situations when perhaps you would run to throw your child onto the beach before he drowns, or instinctively do something such as this to protect yourself. But you need to be aware that all other times when panic comes to you are times that you can and should release. You can release this negative fear energy in various ways, physically and spiritually. Come to the center of your being, come to your quiet place. Come to your cabin. Come to dance the heyoka dance. Whatever you do to find the center of your being, this do. Do not put it aside and do not consider it unimportant. I speak to you of meditation so repeatedly because it is through the meditation primarily that you will find these centers, and it is through the meditation that you will retreat into them. Through meditation you can make sure that all of your spiritual protective devices are in place so that you can communicate with yourself, with us, and with the Godspirit, and thereby find and remain upon your pathway. You need to do this regularly and continually. It is like finding a quiet moment where you can pick up the telephone and communicate and ask for further instructions, or perhaps pour out your heart’s concerns and then receive counseling. Perhaps you will call your friends on this side to come for a visit with you rather than have a telephone conversation. But first, you must find the place to make the call. If you are in the middle of panic, you cannot even hear yourself or stop to think carefully enough to dial the correct number. |
