Learner: Can positive visualization and magnetizing change destiny?

Spirit: This is an interesting question because it seems to assume one destiny for each soul, and this is a false premise. I do not mean that there are not plans and events. Humans are not wrong when they say that something was obviously "meant to be." I am not speaking against this at all. But you must understand the planning process here before a soul reincarnates.

It is a lengthy, detailed process with many many "what ifs" and "but ifs." If any of you Learners have ever studied computer languages and programming, you may understand this idea quickly, for it is much the same, only more complex. Let me see if I can simplify it, but if I leave you with concerns, please bring them back to class next week.

Let’s say, dear Learner, that you are planning a trip from San Francisco, California, to Bar Harbor, Maine. Suppose that you are given the task of planning this trip for a very important person – who is very important in your present American culture? Pick whoever you consider to be a VIP. You are planning the trip for this person and there must be a plan for every step of the way. You cannot leave him (I will use the male pronoun for simplicity)… you cannot leave him stranded at any place along the route. Yet he must encounter all kinds of challenges. You cannot just fly him there in a private plane or drive him there in a heavily guarded coach. He must travel what you would call the "highways and byways" of the land.

As you can imagine, by the time your plan is completed, it is the size of a large telephone book or more, with cross-references at every potential opportunity. For example, first you will plan the point of embarkation. How and where will the VIP leave San Francisco? By ship? By helicopter? Airplane? Train? Bus? Car? Foot? Horseback? And so on. Who will accompany him? Which direction will he take, and so on. You have many choices to make at each point during the trip. Many many choices.

But here is the tricky part. You must also plan at least four options for each possibility. So… if your VIP chooses to leave by airplane, how far is he permitted to go that way? Remember, he cannot be flown directly cross country, or that defeats the purpose of the trip. Where can he land where there are airports able to receive him? How will he travel from there?

In human terms, this would equate to a soul choosing their birth parents. What kind of parents are they seeking and why? The why is a big component during every step of the plan. All right, these particular parents are chosen. Now, what if they are unable to parent? Who is "next in line" (according to your plan) to parent the children? Who can father if the birth father cannot? Will they be a good father for this soul, to help this soul learn the lessons it came to learn? If so, why? What about the mother? Who can mother if she cannot or will not? Now in this case, supposing you have a case of children placed in a foster home and then being adopted by parents who are loving, but not doting, and whom the child never gets close to. Yet the child learns and grows. So what was the plan? Was the original set of birth parents the "destiny"? Yes. Was the foster home the destiny? Yes, because it was written into the plan to cover the possibility of failure to parent. Were the adoptive parents’ destiny? Yes, for the same reasons.

Now, following the human example, at some point the reincarnating human soul begins to make its own choices from its place on Earth. He begins to take charge of his own life. Maybe he chooses to enlist in the Army, or to attend Bar Harbor College or to learn to be a croupier. He is able to follow his plan and perhaps any of these three choices was written into his pre-birth plan, or perhaps he is changing his destiny. Certainly if he makes choices that introduce negativity and darkness into his life or the lives of others, he has strayed from any planned destiny. No one from the Light plans to reincarnate in order to embrace or spread darkness. Never. So if this young man makes the decision to try and then becomes addicted to cocaine, he has turned from his destiny. He has changed his destiny. Now his Higher Self and Guides here at Home are "scrambling" you might say, to rewrite the plan in order to get him back onto his path, to arrange detours and so-called coincidences that will wake him up to the fact that he is straying onto the wrong path and heading in the wrong direction. He will have many opportunities to get back onto his planned path, back to his destiny, to one of his planned destinies. He will never be abandoned, never left with an "Oh well, tough luck, kiddo." But if he persists in ignoring the chances to leave the darkness, no one from this side can force him.

Suppose, though, that this man does not endanger his growth in this way, and that he becomes aware of his loved ones here at Home and communicates with us through the veil. Suppose then that he choose to magnetize in order to create his own reality. Then he can certainly direct his destiny in a positive manner. Absolutely. This will be one of the choices written into his plan, but his magnetization can draw him to that particular choice, can bring it into fruition in his life. He is, in effect, creating as he goes. He’s been given the blueprints and the correct building tools and products to create the house in which he wants to live or the vehicle in which he wants to travel, but this still requires his involvement, his decision to take a particular path in a particular vehicle at a particular time, at a particular crossroad.

So in other words, yes, magnetizing can absolutely change destiny, on both an individual basis and a societal basis. You have heard the words in your culture, "You are what you eat." This is true when you speak of the body, yet there are basics that also influence the body. There are genetics to be considered, and so on. Nevertheless, what is eaten greatly influences how the body grows.

In the same way, you have a basic plan, a basic reason for returning to Earth. This is your essential, your skeleton. This is the part of your plan that if you do not achieve it, you have failed; your incarnation has essentially been wasted. But along with this skeleton are many other hopes and dreams and possibilities for your spiritual growth. You can grow in many ways, and all of these ways are at your discretion. You really do create your own reality just as fully on the spiritual level as what you eat influences your physical body’s reality.

You must never forget that you have free will, and along with that comes responsibility. You are responsible to create whatever you need during your incarnation in order to grow. You are not a helpless victim ever. Ever. I hope this answers your question. If not, you know where to find me.
