Merging With the Angels

Learner: Sometimes I have a feeling during meditation or prayer that I am growing huge, bigger than the room, or even than the building I am in. It feels like the furniture around me is tiny, but it didn’t shrink, I grew. Then in my mind’s eye I grow through the walls of the house and I can see the house down below me, and it is small in comparison to me.

Spirit: Whenever your energetic being, your aura, is expanded, it is possible for you to perceive this change in size, this growth that you speak of. Whether or not you realize this and are present to witness it depends upon your sensitivity and your focus. Just as on Earth you may be reading or talking to someone while a cake is baking and not even notice the aroma; then all of a sudden when your mind opens more or the activity in which you are engaged has stopped, you will smell the cake in the oven, so in the same way can you be distracted during meditation and not notice this. So if you do not happen to notice this expansive feeling, do not worry about it.

However, when you do sense this activity of your soul, enjoy it, savor it, and try to learn from it. Realize exactly how expansive your true Self can be! If you trust your abilities, you can actually stretch yourself to anywhere you wish to go, under the tutelage and assistance of the Angels and Guides. Study how expansive "the real you" can be, and study, also, how your soul is affected by the merge effect. When you are merged with Angels, you will sense yourself growing rapidly and joyously. You may even perceive the sound of their singing during your merge. You may feel chills and other indications of Angel presence. You will always enjoy the experience if you are merged with Angels.

Merging with a Spirit Guide is also enjoyable, but the style varies according to the purpose of the merge. When Angels have joined you, have "come within your essence" I will say, you will always feel joyous. You may even cry tears of joy or laugh out loud from the rapturous feel of the energy rippling through you.

Did you ever look at an infant newly arrived upon the Earthplane - one that is not a part of your family - where your view of the infant is not filled with thoughts of your relationship with the child or of things such as whom the child may resemble? Did someone with whom you are not closely connected ever show you their infant, or perhaps even just pass by closely in a market area, stopping near you for long enough that you had a few moments to really look at the infant?

Do you ever remember at those times feeling emotional, perhaps what you call a lump in your throat or even quick tears of joy for a moment just seeing the baby? Did you ever feel an overwhelming love for the baby and have to thank God for the child, even though you have no relationship to it whatsoever? If so, you were feeling the Angels’ thoughts and feelings, as well as your own. The Angels had merged with you at that time, and were sharing their feelings with you. You could almost hear them whispering to you or singing songs or chants of praise for the infant, couldn’t you?

Do you realize that the Angels sing these songs for EVERY infant born onto a physical plane? And the songs are prayers, of course. The Angels carry the prayers of those on Earth to Heaven,

yes. I am sure this is not news to you. But do you realize that the Angels also carry the prayers of the loved ones here and of Spirit Guides and other friends here from THIS side to the child newly born on Earth? The soul of every newborn child needs spiritual support, for it has just undertaken a huge spiritual journey. Often it has left soulmates and close friends and loved ones in order to incarnate. Every mother in every culture knows intuitively to sing to her new baby, to sing familiar lullabies or to make them up specifically for her child, in order to comfort the baby. If she has no voice, she will find a way to communicate through a rhythmic movement or touch or hum or other sound. The mother may have somehow estranged herself from conscious connection with Spirit, and yet she knows to sing to comfort her baby. She, of course, is singing to the baby’s soul, letting that soul know it is loved and is not alone. The Angels facilitate these events. It is one of their assigned tasks.

Getting back to your original question, yes, when you feel your soul growing, try to just notice everything that is happening, everything you are seeing, everything you are feeling, everything you are hearing, smelling, sensing. Notice everything, and as soon as you can do so, write the details, just as if you had wakened from a dream. Write without analyzing, just record the details while you can still recall them, record as many as you can. Ask your Spirit Guides to help you do this, if you like.

We will know how to help, because at least one of your Guides will be with you during that expansion, you see. Trust what you experience at this time. It will never be negative. It will never be filled with fear. It will never make you afraid. Instead, you will always feel as if you have somehow gotten a telegram from Home, as if you have called Home and had a nice long, comforting conversation.

You will feel strengthened and enlightened. But the most overwhelming feeling when you merge with the Angels is that of unfathomable peace and joy, feelings beyond what you can normally experience on a physical plane. That is because you are feeling the love of the Angels with whom you are joined at the time. It will not last forever. It is intended to be a transitory, momentary experience—like a new energy surge for your battery.

Merging with your Spirit Guides is usually a different feeling than this. They are present during your "Angel merges," but when you experience the "large" or "growing" feeling, that encounter is being driven by the Angels. Your Guides are just along for the ride, you might say, and actually, they are getting a "charge" for their own batteries out of it, too. Seriously
