A Few Excerpts About Heaven

Spirit: What is different here from on the Earthplane is that one’s external beauty always corresponds to the Light within oneself. This is very often not the case on the Earthplane. Here, those who have no Light will not appear as beautiful, no matter what form they take. On the Earthplane, the outside is often as far as people look when evaluating others, or themselves. If they do look beyond the surface, they will be able to see the Light or the darkness that soul holds.

Spirit: God is constant, and that constancy is Love. Love, Laughter, and leaping for Joy are natural elements of God. Without God there is no Love, no Laughter, no leaping for Joy. God’s Love is constant. It is always there. There is never a time that God cannot bring you a flood of Light that contains abiding Love EXCEPT when you, in your fear, decide to shut the doorways by which God’s Lovelight must enter – those controlled by your Free Will. When you feel gloomy, lift the shades of your heart’s windows and let in the sunshine of God. When you feel frightened, open the door and allow God’s Love to embrace and encompass you.

There is nothing – I repeat: NOTHING – that God cannot make better. There is nothing that will lessen the Love God gives you. You are the one who measures and controls this in-pouring of Love and guidance and Joy. You are the one with the keys to the valves that allow the Light inside your essence. We are here to help you when you ask, and to try to clear away some of the fog of confusion, and in this way to help you open to more of the Godlight. Never skip over using the Light’s power. That is like trying to go somewhere in your car by pushing it instead of turning on the engine and driving! The Light is your power source. The Light is your Healer, your Helper, your Teacher – because the Light is God. We Guides are merely channels of this Light, amplifying and reflecting back to you Light that you have not yet let into your heart.

Spirit: It always feels like Love here. It never feels lonely or angry or like we do not belong. The energies of the souls here produce beautiful colors, and so other people look radiantly beautiful to us.

Learner: But there are no fields and trees, lakes and mountains, no oceans.

Spirit: If we want to be in an Iowa cornfield, we picture one, and we are in one. We can actually go to Earth's Iowa, but we can also create a wonderful field of corn here. I do that sometimes, just because I want to experience the pleasure of taking form and walking in a cornfield. Sometimes I create an ocean so I can sit and watch the waves. I think about it, and it appears. I know it is hard for you to believe right now, but the ocean I create is as real as your ocean is to you.

Heaven is fantastic. Heaven is more than dreams. It is the realest of reality. Heaven is so much more than places. It is feelings. It is Love, immersion in Love. Immersion in God. Heaven can include all sorts of places or no places. What determines Heaven is not what you see around you here. It is the presence or absence of Love. The rest is literally immaterial.

Now, if you want to continue to visualize yourselves the way you were when you were physical on Earth, you can do that. You can have anything you wish or be anywhere you wish to be or work at whatever you wish to work at in Heaven. But every place you could be, everything you could find, and everything you could make… without Love, none of it could ever bring you to Heaven. If Love is missing, then nothing else could make it Heaven. Whenever you have felt the closest to God was when you felt the closest to other beings you love who love you. The places you visited or the prayers you repeated didn't automatically make you closer to God. The shared Love did.

The abundance of Heaven is your right. God created abundance in the Universe for His creations' use, both on Earth and here. So the abundance is here specifically to be used. But it is a tool, not the path to God. Financial abundance, for example, can seem to make you happy because it solves some problems. But it is like the saw we told you about before. A saw is merely a useful tool that allows the carpenter to build his house.

When you are in Heaven, you may not notice streets paved with gold, but you will always experience feelings of Love. That is the essence of Heaven. The streets and the fields and the castles are all the saws with which to create. But whatever we may create, if we want to, is not the reason for our existence. We create all sorts of beauty because it feels good, it makes us comfortable, it brings us Joy. There is nothing wrong with this. If I enjoy making blue Packards, that is perfectly fine; but the blue Packard is not Heaven, and it will not ever bring me Heaven, no matter how hard I work to make a perfect Packard. If I enjoy creating flowers here, again, that is wonderful, but the flowers are not Heaven. However, if when we walk among the flowers, we experience the joyous love with which the flowers were created, then we are experiencing the very heart of Heaven. Do you understand?

Spirit: There is all sort of work here for those who choose to do that for awhile, and it is all honorable. There are those who work composing music that blesses, that raises the vibrations of souls. It may be music created for the Earthplane, or it may be for a higher plane where music is incorporated into the entity, becomes part of the entity’s being, such as is so with the Angels.

Spirit: Here, time truly is nonexistent. It is only relative to us as it relates to your actions and your lives on the Earthplane. If we were not dealing with you on the Earthplane, we would have no concept of time here.

Spirit: Souls are not forced to learn. If they choose to deny Light and Love, souls may remain at sub-levels of little Light where they must reflect upon the choices they made that harmed others and led to increased darkness. Some souls, beings who refuse to open to the Light and accept and take responsibility for their negative actions, have been in these states of being since before the creation of Earth. Unfortunately, many others have joined them since that time. However, there are also many who have used this agonizing experience to learn and grow.

Spirit: On the nonphysical levels of Heaven, it may just look white to you, like a place of white Light. Since you are living in a physical environment right now, it may be hard for you to understand that this is not a boring place. It is purer here, as we have always told you. You can create anything when you feel the need. If you want an automobile, you can create it right there. Anytime you want to do something physical that you really like doing, you can create it. But what is more important is to realize that when you are here, you don’t need physical things.

Right now, on Earth, you might have one of your favorite books that you enjoy reading over and over. All it is is words. When you read it, you don't see people and places, except in your mind. Your mind imagines them. Each person, as they read the book, imagines each character. It is not boring. Yet you don't really see anything physical but words on a page.

On these higher levels here, you don't need to see physical bodies and buildings and so on. It is like reading a book. You see nothing, yet the story you are reading is still happening. When you are here on this higher level, above the Astral plane, you see your loved ones in their natural spirit bodies, their Light forms. You won’t need to see their physical bodies. You simply feel their essence. Essence. You don't have to see or interpret a body form. This is much better.

You know, there are many things on Earth that you do not see, things that are not there physically. Do you love your first Siamese cat any less because he is not there on Earth with you any more? You don't see him there any more. He is here. Do you love him any less? Here you can see us when you want to. We can become like physical bodies if we want to, but here doing that is not necessary in order to enjoy life. It is the Love and sharing the essence of your loved ones that brings you Joy.

When you first arrive here, it takes a little adjustment to realize that you no longer need your body and all the physical things you are used to on Earth. You can love and see and feel just as much without these things, but sometimes it takes awhile to realize this, to remember.

Learner: sometimes you worry that if Ray is here before you and when you get here he is not in a physical body, that you won’t be able to see his eyes. You will see his eyes if you need to, but more importantly, you will feel them. You will feel him completely - not just his eyes or whatever you like about his physical body. You will feel his real self completely, his essence. It is not less here; it is more. It is something you will have to re-experience. You will have to get readjusted to being Home again.

We see you on Earth this way. We feel your essence. You could have the ugliest bodies there are on Earth, but that would never matter. That is only the body on Earth. We see your essence, your soul, not how you look in your physical body on Earth. We don’t need to even look at your physical bodies to see you. It would not make any difference in our relationship with you at all.

That is one of the things you have to adjust to and learn. There are Guides here who work specifically to help returning souls readjust away from their dependency on a physical world. You still have the opportunity to enjoy physical things once in awhile if you want to, especially right at first while you are reorienting, but you will learn to get away from it and not be so afraid to be without it. You will realize again that things are just as wonderful without all the physical entrapments. I say entrapments because sometimes you are trapped in the physical limitations of Earth. You can't help it. That is the way it's supposed to be there on Earth so that you will have challenges that can help you learn more about Love.

But here you are free of all that. You can do all of the same things you want to do if you want to, whenever you want to. You can still make the beach and the water and still feel everything about it. But you will be able to enjoy your loved ones and your life without anything that appears to be physical. That's all I can tell you about the nonphysical planes right now. To truly understand, you have to be here to experience it. It is something to look forward to, something wonderful and exciting.
