Child Abuse

Learner: Why do the souls of innocent babies and children who get abused choose that to happen to them?

Spirit: They don’t. No one here plans a life that includes violence and abuse, either to them or by them. No one. Remember that. No such lives are planned here. Do not ever let someone try to convince you that anyone incarnated as part of a plan. This has been said of people such as Attila, Henry, Hitler, Stalin, and many more. It will probably be said of bin Laden. This is a false teaching. No souls’ life plans are ever approved to negativity and darkness. These are choices made by the individuals. It is not their destiny. It is their choice. Every soul has choices. Each one of you had opportunities, whether you realize it or not, to make very dark choices. You had opportunities to kill, to destroy in fury, to incite others toward violence, to steal and to lie viciously, to do everything you find disgusting and destructive. You all continue to have these opportunities. Not one of you was immune. Even the Souls of Light who came as wayshowers to your planet were not immune. The choices must be there, by divine insistence.

So no, no babies ever plan to be abused. They know the opportunity for that to happen is there. It is actually there in every incarnation, of course, but in some where violence has been a recurring choice, the possibility of abuse is naturally higher. The soul returning as the baby returns with hope and prayers that this incarnation will help the violence-prone soul redirect itself and make a love-based choice when angered. The soul of the abuser returns with the same hope and prayers. What transpires once the lives come into being on the Earthplane depend upon the choices made by the former abuser.

We have "one of our own" who is very close to this situation. A certain Master who works receiving the souls of infants who return Home with no one to care for them. Decisions must be made then about the rate of development of these souls when they return, and so on. If there is a chance that the parents or other loved ones of an infant will eventually speak through or be receptive to dream messages, the soul often will develop at the same rate as it would have aged on the Earthplane. If no future contact is expected, the soul will go ahead and "age" to maturity at a much faster rate, as is normal here. The Master Guides work involves receiving the infant souls, reorienting them to Home, and what you might call fostering them until an appropriate plan for their development is made. As the particular Master can tell you, the souls who return home because of abuse come home truly heartbroken and require healing and comforting. She also receives souls of infants who returned to help the parent learn something important. These babies are mourned terribly, and this Master and her assistants often return to the mother to lay the infant in her arms for a few moments from time to time when it is apparent that this will help the mother heal.
