The Importance of Believing

Spirit: In order to obey Creator’s requirement that you have free choice, we Guides are required to allow you room to disbelieve whenever that is a possibility. You can choose not to ever perceive the signs we send you. You can simply convince yourselves that they do not exist.

Spirit: We Guides do work to increase the insulating Light around you. But the primary reason you are not to worry about interfering dark spirits when you communicate with us is because of the intent that you carry within your heart. Guides would be rendered impotent in helping if you wished to pursue negative goals instead of spiritual growth. So trust yourselves, your hearts, as the cornerstone and then trust us as the workmen to help you build safely and securely upon your spiritual foundation.

Spirit: The reason you succeeded in your search to know your Guides is that you never intended not to succeed and never believed you would not succeed. You trusted your instincts and knew they were true. Picture trying to sail upon the sea without lifting the anchor or trying to float away in a hot air balloon without first releasing the ropes holding it fast to the Earth.

Parts of your belief system may need to be replaced with what your society often teaches is fantasy and impossibility. So it is with us. The more that you interact with us, the more you will believe what you cannot see, what your world often tells you that you do not see. You must hear what your world tells you is impossible to hear. You must be sure of our touches, even when your world tells you we do not exist and therefore cannot be reaching out to you.

There is much more for you to experience. It is only your own belief structure that limits you. The limits you perceive are not correct. There is enough unexplored "magic" to keep you studying for the rest of your lifetimes and beyond. The more you do, the more you will become able to do. The more you swim in this sea of interplanal communication, the better swimmer you will become. This can be likened to training and learning the very beginnings of, say, piano. You have to begin with the scales over and over again.

If you will practice and practice again and again, there lies ahead of you the opportunity to learn to play the greatest music that has ever been written, the ability to sit and play in concert with the finest musicians, and to entrance with your performance even the most astute and musically gifted. In like manner, there lies before you now the opportunity to know more of the spiritual world than you ever thought possible - to know more joy than you thought possible, to grow more in love and wisdom than you ever thought possible. The opportunity is available to you, but as we emphasize so often, the choice must always be yours.

Spirit: Whenever anyone begins to grow, they experience great doubt. Breaking through into a new dimension in any endeavor takes time, study and patience. Love yourself more, as God does, and try a little more each time. As we work together, you will relax more. It is difficult to calm the fears of a lifetime in a few short hours.Take one day, one lesson, at a time, and do not anticipate tomorrow’s problems. We shall guide you within the framework of God’s eternal and boundless love. Know that you on Earth who are reaching up are very special to us. We understand your trials and fears and we intend to guide you toward your path. It is a path of joy and prosperity.

It is like the difference between climbing slippery rocks in a stream and walking the serene woodland path alongside the stream that takes you into the glorious, sun-filled, flower-scented meadow. It is so much easier and more peaceful and joy-filled to stroll the path than to struggle in panic on the rocks, afraid of being swept away to a place you do not want to go. You cannot make the path appear by struggle and force. But when you realize that you desire to follow it, there you will be upon it, with us beside you to guide and support you every step of the way.

It is our chosen job, and we rejoice to share your journey. Do not run. Stop often to rest and talk with us. Experience every nuance of every step you take. There is time. There is always time. Relax and enjoy feeling so much of God’s love. Relax and trust. We will always understand and help you. We will never turn away or stop loving you. We are always, always with you. Remember - always!
