Is Becoming Aware of What Your Spiritual Guides Teach Dangerous?

Spirit: You have asked whether it might be harmful to your spiritual growth if you become aware of past incarnations. You are not ever created not to learn. You are not instructed not to remember. In fact, many young children do remember and do speak of this, and are then taught by their elders that they are making a mistake, that they are speaking not in a realistic way, and that they are not to speak in such a manner again. When you return and incarnate into a physical existence with part of your energy again located within a physical body, it is not our Creator who has prevented you from remembering and retaining this knowledge. Rather, it is your societal teaching that has instilled within you the failure to remember.

Adults who do not remember are often concerned about children who recall what the adults do not understand. So you see, you were not created not to remember. You were taught not to remember. If young children are encouraged, I promise you that they will remember. All members of the human race have opportunities to become aware of a higher spiritual level than that upon which they are operating. Awareness is not usually as you might see in your films with a great opening appearing in the clouds above you and a beautiful angel coming down from the sky. Awareness is usually much more subtle, and much more personal.

You have a Guardian Angel. You have personal Guides whose entire focus while you are incarnate is you. These unseen friends teach one, protect one, guide one, speak through the veil to one – you. They constantly seek ways to open your ears, your eyes, your heart. They are the "still small voice" that speaks wisdom into your heart. They are never the accusers. They are never those who denigrate you. They are never those who tell you what an awful person you are. That is always your own personality.

Your Guides are those who tell you to keep going one more step. They are those who tell you that yes, you can do it. They are those who say, "Look! Look! There is the sunlight!" They are those who say, "You have the strength within you." And they are those who say, "You are more. You are more! You are more!!" You are always being given this message. When you are not aware of it, it is because you are not able to hear it, or choose not to hear it. It is never because the message is not being given to you. You already are aware. You do already know. You have within you this knowingness, for it is part of your soul's knowingness.

Your soul is not contained entirely within your body. It never was. It never will be. It cannot be. Your consciousness presently exists on the physical plane, and you currently maintain a physical body. But you also exist here in the etheric planes. Your Higher Self communicates with other souls and with God. Your Higher Self has always known of the existence of its Creator, and of your relationship with other souls.

The existence of such relationships is why sometimes, when you see a certain being on Earth, you feel an instant love for them, even though it seems to make no sense to you. But your soul is not fooled. Your soul has not forgotten. To your soul there is instant recognition because there has never been forgetfulness. Your soul knows.

So you do know, and you communicate continuously with other souls during the time that you are experiencing a physical incarnation. Everyone is aware on the soul level, even those who go to their physical death killing their fellow men, even those who cause not only themselves but millions of others great harm. On a soul level they know. The difference is that their personality refuses conscious awareness of this knowledge, and has chosen not to acknowledge what they know within their hearts.
